Our story
As the AL. Ringling Mansion was being restored,
we came across a floorboard.
Under the floor, destiny was waiting.
A wooden box that would change everything.
On a folded piece of paper was a beer recipe.
"The Ringling Family Original" it came to be.
And so, AL. Ringling Brewing Co. emerged,

Co-owners Joe Colossa and Donald Horowitz opened AL. Ringling Brewing Co. in Baraboo, Wis., located inside the historic AL. Ringling Mansion, in September 2020. The brewery's goal is to honor the heritage of the Ringling Brothers and the German heritage in Wisconsin.
We have a restaurant and enough space to host your next event. Our venue is family-friendly, and we also feature live music.
MEET OUR BREWMASTER
Drew Morden has been our brewmaster since 2021. Prior to joining AL. Ringling Brewing Co., Drew worked at Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Company in Fresno, California.
There is SO MUCH history involved in this brand and business because theres 2 parts to this business. Connected to the brewery is Al Ringlings Mansion (the man who started the circus) where he used to live. They do tours of the mansion during business hours which is also a Bed and Breakfast! The brewery began because when they were restoring the mansion, they came across a wooden box hidden under the floorboard which contained a folded piece of paper with a beer recipe "the ringling family original" so the brewery began.
Drew and his wife Allison, who are both Indiana natives, have two sons named Maverick & Cole.
