Being a Business in Baraboo is a big part of who we are at AL. Ringling Brewing Company. Here are five reasons we love being a business in Baraboo.
Circus Connection to the Ringling Family Our brewery is inspired by the Ringling family, who settled in Baraboo in 1875. AL., the eldest of the famous Ringling Brothers, finished building his own Baraboo mansion in 1906. Our brewery is adjoined to his mansion, and you can tour his home when you visit our brewery.
Small Town Community “I love the small town community we have in Baraboo,” co-owner Joe Colossa says. Less than 13,000 people live in Baraboo, and we love the community that is here. We feel very supported by the residents and other businesses of Baraboo. We are proud to be a part of this community.
History Baraboo is a very historic town. It is called “Circus City” because not only did the famous Ringling Brothers refer to Baraboo as home, but five other circuses started here, too. Baraboo is also called the “Gem City” of the State, and this is inspired by history. Also, Baraboo was a part of the development of the first syndicated newspaper.
Devil’s Lake Baraboo is home to the ironically beautiful Wisconsin lake called Devil’s Lake. It is over 10,000 acres and is surrounded by amazing rock formations and bluffs. You can hike or do water sports like kayaking, canoeing, or SUP. You can also camp or just hang out and soak up the gorgeous views at Devil’s Lake.
Wisconsin Being in Wisconsin, we are surrounded by friendly, genuine people. A bonus: Wisconsin loves beer, and we are proud to serve Wisconsin residents and visitors our beer!
At AL. Ringling Brewing Co., our goal is to celebrate and honor the history and heritage of our city. That’s why we enjoy being involved in the Baraboo community. One of our favorite ways to support this community we call home is through our Give Back Sunday events. It is a monthly event we dedicate to support our local community. Each month, an entity or non-profit organization is selected to receive 10% of sales generated by the AL. Ringling Brewing Co. You can read more about our involvement in the community at https://alringlingbrewing.com/community-involvement/
There are a lot of things to do in Baraboo. We are proud to be one of those things and are excited to show you the history at our facility. We have 19 beers on tap for you to try, too, so there is always something new. Baraboo events we have at AL. Ringling can be found on our Facebook page under the events tab.
