First Monthly No-Talent/ Talent Show Recap

Our co-owner, Joe Colossa, grew up in the Ringling Brothers Circus, and was inspired to bring one of their behind-the-scenes events to AL. Ringling Brewing Co.

“I’m 4th generation of the circus, so I was born and raised in it. One night every year, towards the end of the season, we put on our own show for us. Everybody – the performers, the working guys, the families- whoever wanted to do something could go up and do something. It would be right where the circus was set up,” says Colossa.

The show was called “No Talent/ Talent Show” because it gave people other than the performers, also known as the “talent,” an opportunity to showcase their skills or perform comedic acts.

The first monthly “No Talent/ Talent Show” at the brewery had seven performers with a variety of talents. There were singers with incredible voices, an entertainer doing impressions, and a one-man band. We even had a performer who was blindfolded, but still able to tie a perfect bow. Colossa participated, as well, showing his juggling skills he used in the Ringling Circus for his grandfather’s medicine show.

Our first “No Talent/Talent Show” was a night to remember, and we invite you participate next time or show your support for those who do!
